Business transition and change — exit planning consultant Greater Vancouver BC

Don't hope for a great exit. Prepare for one.

Most owners spend decades building something real, then lose significant value in the sale because the business wasn't properly prepared. Not because it was weak — but because it didn't look the part to a buyer walking in cold.

That gap is what I fix.

Where the approach comes from

With 25 years in the construction industry, I’ve managed residential and commercial projects of every size — working side by side with skilled trades, contractors, and clients. That hands-on experience, combined with formal training in small business consulting and business acquisitions — including certification through the AASBC, Wharton Business School, and Dealmakers Academy — gives me a deep understanding of what drives business value and how to position a company for a successful exit.

As a former business owner, I know firsthand what it takes to build something from the ground up—and how hard it can be to step back or move on. My role is to help owners build toward an exit they can be proud of — one that reflects the value they've created and sets them up for whatever comes next. When we work together, the goal is always a confident outcome on your terms.

I believe in honest, transparent relationships and win-win outcomes. It’s about more than improving the numbers — it’s about helping you achieve the freedom and results you’ve worked so hard for.

For brokers and advisors

Business broker and exit consultant referral partnership — Greater Vancouver BC

For business brokers If you have a seller whose business isn't quite market-ready — or a listing that's lost momentum — I can help. I work upstream of the transaction to address the issues that affect valuation, buyer confidence, and financing. Owner dependence, disorganized records, weak transferability — these are the problems I fix before they become your problem at the closing table.

I don't list or market businesses. My role is operational and strategic — complementary to yours, not competitive. Referral arrangements are formal, protected, and handled professionally.

For accountants, lawyers, and wealth planners If your client is thinking about retiring, stepping back, or selling in the next one to three years, an early conversation with me can protect the value they've spent years building. I help them clarify their goals, identify red flags, and get the business ready for the transition ahead.

I collaborate directly with existing advisors — my role adds a layer of exit preparation that complements their work, making the process smoother for everyone involved.

In both cases ‍ ‍Referral arrangements are formal and protected. I'm happy to start with a conversation.
